2018 GMC Sierra Offers Luxury and Utility

1500

It is no secret that pickup trucks have captured the imagination of a large segment of the car-buying public. Yes, car-buying public is the correct reference. There are more and more buyers, than ever before, who used to own cars but are now driving trucks. If you are wondering why that is true, then you need to drive the new 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 at Sullivan Buick GMC. The Sierra rides like a luxury car and works like a truck; that makes a big difference in terms of a buyer’s sense of satisfaction. Trucks are powerful, strong and are supposed to get dirty, right? Well, yes, in many cases that is still true; but times have changed! A growing number of buyers like the fact that they can own a vehicle that has the internal structure to work hard and long but also has a sophisticated appearance that will absolutely turn heads.

Edmunds.com: “Few vehicles offer as much luxury and utility in one package as the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500.”

Motor Trend.com: “The 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 received a five-star safety rating from the NHTSA (out of a possible five stars).”

GMC has done a great job in making the Sierra buying process simple. There was a time when you had to be a real gear-head to like buying a truck. Everything was ala carte. Not today because trucks have trim levels and packages like cars. You still get to do some very cool things like talk about getting a short box, long box, 4X4, regular cab, double cab or crew cab, we love to talk trucks! Another nice thing is that you can consult with us on the details. That’s why we represent GMC.

A 4.3-liter V6 is standard on the Base Sierra and SLEs. A 5.3-liter V8 comes standard on the SLT and Denali and is available as an option on the SLE trim levels.

New for 2018 is the eAssist mild-hybrid option paired with the 5.3-liter V8. This provides stop-start capability, regenerative braking and a slight power boost during acceleration. The eAssist option is available only on the SLT Crew Cab.

Plus, there is a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic. The towing capacity is a whopping 12,500 pounds. You can’t do that with a lot of trucks and no way that’s happening with a car. It is nice to know that you are driving something that does not have to pretend to be tough.

It all starts with a visit to our showroom at Sullivan Buick GMC in Ocala and seeing this truck for yourself. We are confident that when you leave you will understand why GMC is Professional Grade. Visit our website 24/7 at OcalaBuickGMC.com.
